- Description
We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team in coordinating and optimising transport operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure efficient transportation processes.
What You Will Be Doing
- Plan and coordinate transport routes to meet delivery schedules
- Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
- Utilise IT systems for route planning and tracking
- Monitor transport costs and maintain accurate records
- Optimise vehicle loads to maximise efficiency
- Address any transport issues or delays promptly
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Who we are looking for:
- Proven experience in Transport Planning
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations
- Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
- Ability to use software such as Excel and Word for data analysis and reporting
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Valid driving licence for occasional site visits
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm OR 8am-6pm (Flexibility required)
